I enjoy reading and I am growing to enjoy writing. Only recently have I made an all out commitment to begin writing regularly.
My goal for this blog is that it will become the premier watering hole for information and insight on the real estate market in Wilmington NC. The most asked question of professional real estate agents is “How is the market?” Real estate is nothing new. It has been here for as long as the earth has existed. But over the past decade, real estate has become a buzz word and is no longer just about owning a home for your family. More and more Americans are making real estate a part of their overall financial strategy. For this reason, understanding the local real estate market you are in has become a necessity. So I am making the commitment as your local real estate professional to answer your question on a regular basis.
Every month I will be bringing you the latest market statistics along with a commentary on how the market is performing and what to look for in terms of market trends. In addition to the overall monthly market update, I will also be digging deeper into a different sub market. Over the next year, you will have the opportunity to have a front row seat on Wilmington’s submarkets like:
- Historic downtown
- Wrightsville Beach
- Pleasure Island (Carolina and Kure Beach)
- Waterfont communities
- Gated communities
- Golf communities
- Luxury markets
- New construction
- Brunswick and Pender county developments.
Each month, I will focus in depth on one of these markets, bringing you the latest stats, pictures, market trends, interviews with neighbors and new development updates. Even within these sub markets you will learn about specific communities and which ones are out performing other markets. You will want to pass on the link to this blog with all of your friends and family who understand the vital importance of being educated on the local real estate market.
Now for my warning. Before you make the commitment to subscribe to this blog and become a regular student of the Wilmington real estate market, I want to make something very clear. I did not make A’s in grammar. I never anticipated I would be writing a blog on Wilmington’s real estate market. So much for having my life well planned out!
But if you will bear with my amateur writing skills,
I will make these promises:
1. I will edit my posts before I publish them.
2. I will become a student of writing.
3. I will use spell check. (though spell check will not correct me when I say: “I sale real estate” vs. “I sell real estate”)
4. [Most important one] I will get my wife to proofread and edit my posts before they are published. (She is an elementary teacher and is a certified English as a Second Language teacher. She knows grammar!)
5. I will thank you when you post a comment pointing out my errors.
I am sure you are like me. Your time is precious in this information overload world we live in, and you don’t have time for bad writing. So, I ask ahead of time for your patience as you discover my missing words, misspellings, and grammatic mayhem. Now that we have that cleared up, subscribe to this feed and post a comment. I look forward to hearing from you.
